Goal: Unwrapping a Cylinder
🚨 This is a practice run. Normally a Cylinder mesh object comes with UVs. This is a good object to practice on, however. For your future objects, do not get into the habit of manually unwrapping the default Cylinder 😛 🚨
This is what we are starting with ⬇️
1. Mark Seams and Unwrap
- Switch to object mode ⬆️
- Select the cylinder object ⬆️
- Switch to edit mode ⬆️
- De-select edges ⬆️
- Select sharp edges ⬆️
- Now sharp edges selected ⬆️
- Select mark seam ⬆️
- Select all ⬆️
